Peter McAuslan's Rye Whisky Tasting notes
The whisky has a distinct tangerine hew, and sugar plum aromas waft from the whisky during the pour. The flavours are lively and spicy on the palate with an initial sweetness yielding to spice; dried fruit, touches of vanilla, and almond on the finish when a pleasing sweetness rounds out the flavours.
This whisky is delicious straight, or with a little non chlorinated water. It can be consumed safely while the imbiber reads Peter McAuslan’s Brewing Better Beer in front of the fire or when safely tucked in bed.
